Introduction to Gate Valve

Gate valve is a common type of opening and closing valve that uses a gate (or opening and closing element, where the opening and closing element is called a gate or gate, and the gate seat is called a gate seat) to connect (fully open) or cut off (fully close) the medium in the pipeline. It is not allowed to be used for interception, and it should be avoided to slightly open the gate during use, as the erosion of high-speed flowing media will accelerate the damage of the sealing surface. The Shuangde gate operates as a lifting motion on one side perpendicular to the centerline of the gate seat channel, cutting off the medium in the pipeline like a gate, hence it is called a gate valve.

Gate valve refers to a valve whose closing element (gate) moves vertically along the centerline of the passage. Gate valves are mainly used for cutting off in pipelines. Forged steel gate valve is a widely used type of valve, generally used for cutting devices with a diameter of DN ≥ 50mm, and sometimes gate valves are also used for cutting devices with very small diameters. Gate valves, as a type of lower grade valve, are quite common.
